Red Light, Green Light

Did you ever play that game, "Red Light, Green Light" as a kid? Or is this just some random game that my crew of friends created back in the day?

Well yesterday was definitely a red light kind of day. And not THAT kind of red light. AHEM. Let's keep it classy, Internetz.

The attack of the giant cyst on my left ovary left the possibility of this cycle in a pretty precarious situation. It was up to my hormones to save the day and let me still go ahead this month.

But today? Today is a green light day.

Let's give it up for this cyst, Internetz, because fortunately it is NOT an estrogen-producing cyst! This means that I am good to go! Femara was started last night.

I went back to the clinic this morning to pick up the Follistim (aka Puregon for my fellow Canuck friends). $700 later and a paper bag filled with enough needles, syringes, and meds to make me choke, I have until Monday to prepare myself for my first injection in months.

So I am indeed back in the game. Tune in Monday for my pre-injection meltdown!

I loved that game!! Now I would probably blow my knee out...

YAY!! As a general rule I hate cysts but I'll give this one a high-five.`

So glad you're in the game! Although I do always groan seeing all those needles and syringes too. Take care.

I loved that game too! That one and "Steal the Bacon".
So glad about your cyst.

So glad you have the green light.

I hate those paper bags filled with syringes. You'd think they could come up with a cute designed bag or something for how much they cost! Sheesh.

woo hoo! The good news is you are brave enough to needle yourself. I have to have the MIL do it. Good Luck!

Oh yay! That is such great news!!

And OMG the Follitism is SO expensive - does your insurance cover any of it? Since I'll *hopefully* be starting injectibles next cycle, I have no idea what to expect. We have insurance that covers the meds (90% of it at least) so I'm trying to figure out how much we'll have to come up with at the pharmacy - or will the RE's office give me the meds? I guess I should just ask them on Monday when I go for my HSG - I just am so worried about the up front cost!

I'm so excited for you!!!! :) :)

When you mentioned red light green light it brought back a memory of playing it on horseback! We had such fun.

I'm so glad that your cyst is not producing estrogen.

Hooray for green lights!

So glad that you got the green light. Stupid cysts. My clinic wouldn't let me cycle with one in the ovary. Had to be gone or aspirated, even when it wasn't affecting E2 levels. They may have been overly picky with me because I am an old geezer. Ha ha ha ha.

Whoohoo!!! Can I just say that I KNEW IT! I totally knew this cyst would be irrelevant in the journey. Yay! So is today injection day? You're so much better than me. Let us know how it goes. Hugs!

So glad the cyst isn't interfering with your cycle! You've got to be really flexible in the IF game because everything is different from one day to the next!! Keep strong with injectables, I am going to need some good vines starting my first injectable cycle next month!
