Heaven

Internetz, I have just returned from heaven on earth. I'm not even kidding.

About an hour north of Toronto is a lovely town called Cobourg. It's quaint, has some great restaurants, a gorgeous beach and marina, and fun little shops.

But it's also home of heaven on earth - the Victoria View B&B.

Irish Boy and I just had a romantic 3-day getaway there. It's, ahem, the 5th time we've been. Yes, we like it THAT much.

The freshly roasted coffee each morning is enough to make my toes curl with delight but then there are the breakfasts. Oh! The breakfasts! Even for those of us trying to be health conscious! One morning it was a feta and asparagus omelet with fresh greens topped with a homemade ginger orange dressing and sunflower seed toast. Are you dying? The fact they they use as many local and organic foods as possible makes me feel even more saintly.

Irish Boy and I enjoyed walks down by the marina to look at all of the boats (I wonder if we'd have one if we didn't spend all of our money on IF treatments?) and lovely dinners at local restaurants. We each splurged and had hot stone facials/massages - and I could've died it was so nice.

Now it's back to reality. But I can gaze longingly at the photos on the website and dream of going back again.

Honestly, if you are in the area and wanting a mini-getaway - or you're travelling up this way and want a place to stop for the night - let me know, I'll send you all the info you need to stay there. I'm not getting any compensation of any kind for saying all of this - I honestly just love this place so much that it must be shared!

But for now...back to reality!

Looks awesome - may have to check it out - it's less than 4 hours from my place.

You're so cute - it's EAST of Toronto not North?? Maybe a little Northeast - but mostly East ;) Barrie is 1 hour North of Toronto lol Who cares what direction - as long as it's heaven!

I am also going through infertility. I have been in the battle of seven years. I have done it all....years of infertility treatments, IVF, 3 failed adoptions...and so on. It is one of the hardest things I have had to endure. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and this journey. I found you just through blog hoping.

I have just started my own blog. It is not about my journey, or how to get pregnant, or all the methods out there. It is more about "keeping the hope" for you, others, me, and just anyone. It was started after a very long emotional blog on my family blog. someone read my blog and started a facebook group called "Keeping the hope for you." It was for my friends and family to keep the hope of me while I did not have the energy to do in myself. So hence my blog...http://keepingthehope4you.blogspot.com

That is what the blog is about...helping everyone and anyone who either wants to keep the hope for them or a love one. keep our spirits up while we ride with roller coaster. I hope you stop by. I would love your comments, ideas, and thoughts.

keeping the hope for you.....Amanda
