I to the C to the L to the W

Happy March ICLW everyone!

Yes, I'm a bit late to the game here, but better late than never, no?

First, can I just say a big you all are 'teh awesome' for your amazingly kind comments on my last post. They all deserve a big, "YOU GUYS!!!" Seriously, I was holding up really well until I read all of your awesome words. Then I melted into a puddle of tears because, really, how awesome are all of you? LOVE.

If you're visiting via ICLW, welcome! I'm a Canadian girl married to an Irish guy. My husband and I have been trying to spawn life for what seems like an eternity. I have PCOS and he was diagnosed with azoospermia (no sperm). Our last cycle was wicked awesome - I usually don't respond well to the meds but I was a trooper last time and had three lovely follicles to trigger for my dIUI. However in spite of all of the great things that happened in the cycle unfortunately my evil period showed up and that was that.

That said, yours truly is like a dog with a bone and I refuse to let IF bring me down. So we're back in the game for another cycle. Injections start up tomorrow night. Oh joy, oh rapture! But I'll take them - even though I loathe them. Why? Because infertility can suck it!

Stick around - tales of injections and wandings are coming soon!

In completely unrelated news: I have just finished reading an absolutely amazing novel called The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I could not put this book down. Has anyone read it? What are you reading that has you hooked? Do share!

Can I have some of your eternal optimism? Cause I can't seem to get out of this funk since my miscarriage two weeks ago. Just when I think I'm getting over it I get depressed again!

I am sorry that this past cycle didn't work out for you, but I am glad that you are staying optimistic. Sometimes I think that is half the battle!

Ugh. I am so sorry about AF. I hate that witch. Fingers crossed for this cycle!

I haven't read the book, but maybe I should put it on my reading list for spring break. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have this mental image of you standing with your hands on your hips and your head cocked to the side saying "YOU GUYS!!!!" I can't stop giggling, it's funny...in my head only, I'm sure.

You will, no doubt, be wicked awesome at the injections this time around. You OWNED them last time and you will do them again!

Hapy ICLW to you too! I've been a horrible slacker this week in the commenting dept.

Thanks for the book recommendation.

I really liked The Help as well. I recently read Shutter Island, because I wanted to read it before I saw the movie, and it was very creepy! I enjoyed it.

As a teacher, I'm really looking forward to my summer when I can focus on getting through a whole pile of books. :)

Wishing you tons and tons of luck this cycle!! I'm finishing up breaking dawn right now (yes I'm a totally nerd and am in love with Edward), and can not put it down. But I also don't want to finish because then no more twilight books for me, and I'll have to come out of my little teenager fog I've been living in, hah!

Thank you for your comments recently, they really mean a lot.

You are such a trooper! Thanks for making it look doable! I've been so scared of what the future might hold for me and it is really comforting to see that even though it is not easy, I can battle through it.

Your optimism is catchy! I am struggling with "What next..." so it's nice to see someone with such hope. I am going to add you to my following list!

I've heard so many people talk about "The Help." I'm going to have to download that one to my Kindle soon! I just read two GREAT books by Jeannette Walls. The first one is The Glass Castle and the second is Half-Broke Horses. They are not sequels, but are related with the same characters. SO GOOD and you won't be able to put them down, either!

Aw I'm glad to "hear" your happiness shine through again. You're right - IF can suck it! :)

I have my fingers crossed and high hopes for you this cycle!

Ugh, I frickin hate Aunt Flo. Why? What did we ever do to her?

Anyways, I just started Clomid again so we can be a little mental together... always nice to have a friend (aka "alibi").

Someone else just recommended The Help to me, and she loved it too. Guess I'll have to pick it up. I'm currently reading Julie/Julie Project... and to be honest, I don't love it. The last book I couldn't put down was "My Horizontal Life" by Chelsea Handler. Inappropriate? Yes. Hilarious? Totally.

Oh yeah, here on ICLW business too! MWAH!

i can't wait to hear about the next cycle. i love when others give ART a positive voice. :o) xoxo

It's definitely women like you that help me look past my troubles and persevere. You never seem to give up and that is so awesome. Yes, AF is a bother isn't she? Although I wouldn't mind her right about now, haha, considering my situation.

Good luck on your next round and I look forward to reading more of your stories =)
