As The Follicles Grow - The Saga Continues

Hey Internetz! Remember me?! I won't be so bold to assume that any of you have noticed my lack of blogging over the past week or missed me but I have to chalk my absence up to a super busy time at work! This week isn't much better, but I had to throw in an update somewhere!

Believe it or not, I've managed to miss telling you all about my various wandings and injections this cycle. So a quick synopsis of the dramz down in Ladyville: My lazy left ovary is truly living up to it's lazy nickname having produced no mature follies for me this time. But good ol' righty comes through again with three! I should be triggering in the next day or so and then comes the hell that is the two week wait.

FUN TIMES.

I'm also here with a question for those of you who are dealing with IF treatments. If you're not, please feel free to hit next on your reader now!

Are you ready?

So my follicles have been growing nicely this cycle - but my lining? Not so much. Only a 6.8 and no real change over the past couple of days. With my dIUI looming, I'm a tad concerned. I will be on progesterone suppositories twice daily regardless but is there something I should be doing post-IUI to ensure that my lining is doing what it should? Is there a blood test to check for that? If you can help me be more pro-active about this with any advice, I'd appreciate it!

For now though, it's back to work and hoping that the clinic calls soon with news of my trigger!

I promise that if I survive this week at work, I will get back in gear commenting on your blogs! Know that I'm reading them!

hey there - is your RE concerned about your lining? it's on the thinner side, but still okay for iui, right? with that said, i've heard that estrogen patches can help, so maybe inquire about that next time around (altho i hope this *is it* and you get preggers off this round!!). sending you *hugs* and *good vibes*.
ps - i LOVED "the help". couldn't put it down once i started reading. i just finished "the girl with the dragon tattoo" and the followup book "the girl who played with fire". loved them both :o)

if your dIUI isn't for a few more days I think your lining might be just fine, it will keep growing and should have plenty of time to get into that perfect lining stage. Good luck and keep us posted!

Agree with Holly--if you still have a couple of days to go before the dIUI, there is still time for your lining to grow. And if your RE doesn't seem concerned, then I wouldn't stress out about it too much. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you! Keep us posted.

Your lining doesn't sound "thin" to me but not thick either. Not sure what to do about it. Ask the dr? Sorry, I know you wanted more than that but that's all I got today.

Hope work eases up soon.

YAY for three!!

Do we need to have a talk with Lazy?

My view on lining stuff? Acupuncture. Helps get blood flowing to all of the right places. Good luck!

The only thing I've ever known to do for lining is the progesterone pills. I'm not sure if there is anything else. I'm not saying there isn't, I'm just saying I haven't heard of anything else. Sorry I'm not more help. :\

I've got my fingers crossed for you dIUI and your TWW!

Are you taking clomid? All I know is that extended use of clomid can slowely decrease the lining of your uterus. Even though I was on it for was seemed like forever, my doc still didn't think it was that big of a deal. As long as your taking the progesterone you should be fine! Good luck!

I missed you! I noticed you weren't blogging! You should go check out my blog because I wrote a post about how awesome you are and my socks. I think my lining was that amount when I triggered so I am no help. good luck!

I did the progesterone suppositories before one of my IUI's and that did the trick. I didn't have to take anything after so I'm not sure about that. Hoping all goes well!

Nothing to add re lining but wanted to wish you good luck!

Hey there! :) Good luck with this cycle. I'm glad good ole righty is cooperating! :) BTW, I giggle everytime I read something where you've added a "z" to it. Yes, giggle. Like a school girl. haha.

Like the others, I don't have anything to suggest... only to ask if your RE is okay with it? If so, I wouldn't be too worried. All the same, I will be sending prayers for you, your follies, and your lining. :)

You still have a couple of days to go, so there's still time left for your lining to thicken up. My youngest daughter was conceived on a lining of 7.1, and you're -><- this close away from that now.

All of that said, I had some minor lining issues in the past 2 or 3 of my cycles. I need some oral progesterone on top of the Vivelle patches that I was already on. Someone suggested drinking soy as another way to give your lining a little boost. "It can't hurt," I figured. I had a couple of cups of chocolate soy milk a day and while I can't say that the soy alone helped, my lining did go from 6.something up to 9.something in just a few days.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you this cycle!

Sending you lots of love for this cycle! You're pendant should be there soon and maybe that'll help out some. I hope so at least!

Did you ask your RE about changing to progesterone injections instead of suppositories? I think there is a better response when injected. Wishing you the best of luck!

Progesterone, Estrogen, acupuncture, and if you're truly feelin' it, nettle leaf tea. Yeah, and Clomid is a uterine lining killer, the higher the dose the worse it gets. If your doc lets you take Clomid for more than 6 cycles then you need a new doc.
