First I have to wish my darling husband, Irish Boy, a very Happy Birthday! If you're so inclined, why not pop by his blog and wish him a happy one!
I have to share this conversation with my mother. She is a lovely woman, bright as all get out, but sometimes, she's such a scatterbrained goof it's not even funny. Listen in:
Mom: So how are things going with all of the fertility treatments?
Me: Oh fine. We're hoping to do another IUI this month. Hopefully I'll respond better to the medications this time.
Mom: Well I guess having only one ovary doesn't help.
Me: (Pause) I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you right?
Mom: You know, having only one ovary must make it harder for you.
Me: Mom, I don't only have one ovary - where did you get that idea?
Mom: Didn't you tell me that?
Me: (Laughing) No! Mom, I never told you that.
Mom: I could have sworn that you said that you were born with only one ovary.
Me: No, Mom. I only had one FOLLICLE for each of my IUIs, but I definitely have both ovaries. They were definitely both there at the last ultrasound.
Mom: Oh! Well I guess that's better for you then.
Me: Yes, Mom. Definitely better.
And you all wondered where I got "IT" from?

LOL i love it! Glad she made you laugh!
YAY for no diabetes, too! Bring on the good stuff!
*HUGS*
LOL! That reminds me of something my mom would do. I think it is too funny that she said she thought you were born with only one ovary. Wouldn't she know?? LOL!
Lol @ Mom.. Glad it was a nice laugh for both of you. And wo0t wo0t for no diabetes!!
*giggle* she is so funny... reminds me of my mom!
My mom is scatterbrained like that, too.
LOL! That's hysterical. My mom can be just as bad.
Here's where I start singing Fresh Prince's "Parents Just Don't Understand" Lol!
that could have been a conversation between my mom and I.... too funny. Thanks for sharing.
OMG! This so made me laugh out loud. Love it! This sounds like a conversation I would have with a friend of mine who doesn't quite "get it." In fact, since I began fertility drama, she offered to be a surrogate for me. I had to explain that it would make much more sense to do IVF (since as far as I know, I can carry a baby, if I ever conceive) than to have her carry a baby for me. Haha. Gotta love them for trying.
Oh, that is special. (So special, she'd get along with my mom really well!)
But, it is good that you have both ovaries :)
Oh how priceless! Glad both ovaries are really there.
And, Happy Birthday Irish Boy!
LOL my mom gets confused too but it's great that she keeps trying to keep up with all of the stuff I throw at her
My mom tries so hard too and she gets confused. LOL
LOL! Your mom's so cute!

Ha ha ha! That's hysterical... you'd think she'd remember if you only had one ovary from birth!! Love it! :)

Thanks for bringing a smile to my day!
Just found your website. My friend is experiencing infertility the second time around and has written a guest post at a wellness site about trying to regulate hormones naturally. Thought your readers might be interested, and I'm sure she's love the traffic. Here is the article.
Thanks,
Jennifer
LOL! That's hilarious! Moms always have a way of making us laugh. :)
You think your mom would remember if you were born with one ovary...

Ha! Thats great stuff! Congrats on no diabities! I just had the test done, and came back as pre-diabetic so I need to change a few things around in my life.
Good luck on the IUI!
Wow! Your husband just had a birthday too? That makes 4 people that I know (me included) that has a bday within the first 4 days of February! Incredible!
I was hoping to read about some great BFP news, but not having diabetes is pretty awesome news too! Good to know you have 2 ovaries at last count! LOL! Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm back in blogosphere after a long hiatus. I'll be catching up with your blog on all the stuff I've missed out in your journey in time. I've missed you, and your 2 ovaries! ;-)
It's good to be back! Eager to hear about your IUI later this month. Good luck!
luv,
Zengirl
In order to know if your fertile or not, try to use fertility kits as well as consulting a doctor regularly...
