New Moon

No, dear Internetz, this isn't a post about Twilight. But if you'd like to tell me whether you're on "Team Edward," "Team Jacob," or "Team What You Talkin' 'Bout Fertility Chick?!" - feel free!

This is about a TCM remedy that I am taking. Usually you start this on day 1 of your period and then take another on day 7, then 14, then 21. They all coincide with various points of your monthly cycle and help with cycle regulation among other things.

However since things down in Ladyville have gone a tad wonky and my period is not following our regularly scheduled programming my ND instructed to take the Day 1 of this remedy at the start of a new moon. That is today.

Now I know some of you may be shaking your heads thinking that I've lost my mind. Others may be rejoicing at my embracing TCM.

As for me? Well, I'm keeping an open mind. Because hey, I have no clue where the ol' period train is and if this brings her back into town then I'm all for it.

Thanks for sharing your story! I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and am trying to sort through what all that means for my and my husband and our chances to conceive and all of the other info that is being thrown at us. I'm on Metformin as well and now that the nausea seems to have gone away, I can say that it seems to be working okay!

Good luck on getting your period ( I just got mine after waiting 60 days)!

PCOS = Super Frustrating!

Generally I have had good success with TCM and accupuncture but this last cycle has been over 70 days!

Hope that it is working better for you than for me! I need to try the remedy your having.

By the way I am team Carlisle - Love Him!

Hope this works out for you!

As for me, I was team Edward until I saw New Moon, and then I was Team Jacob until I realized that he isn't even legal yet. Then I just felt like a dirty-ol' cougar. icky.

Now I'm with Beckie's Infertile, Carlise is super yummy!

Team Jacob all the way! I don't get the fascination with Edward. :) Wonky periods start at the new moon? Stranger things have worked. :)

I'd try just about anything if it helped the PCOS, so taking meds on a New Moon.. cool!
Team Jacob 100% - I agree with jenicini - I don't get the Edward fascination at all!

I'm afraid I'm on team "What are you talking about Fertility Chick"!

but for the rest, keeping an open mind id the best thing to do, you never know how your body/mind may react to a new approach and can definitely be a nice turn! Love, Fran

Team Jacob!!!

TCM works quite well, and there has been many studies on this :)
I used it for 2 months and my cycle changed dramatically, for the first time ever I the REAL
cervical mucus!! it was beautiful (tehehe)
we have since found out that my hubbies swimmers
need a bit of help, so I'm holding off for a while but when the swimmers are better I will be right back at
the TCM!

Glad you are keeping an open mind, GL =)

.....Team Jacob..... though I change my mind every day, so tomorrow I might be all about Edward...

I'm all about Team Edward. Although I felt like a perv drooling over Jacobs body throughout the entire movie. I hope the TCM works! I've always wanted to try them.

Good luck with that. I hope it works.

Hey FC - As you know, I was taking that very same set of remedies with the moon and I am convinced they work! I have been ovulating and AF-ing regularly since I started...the only thing was, I never wanted to take the third one during my 2ww because I didn't want to direct my body to get ready for AF, so my ND said that was fine. The other thing she told me to do when taking them was sleep in absolute pitch darkness all month except on the night before, the night of, and the night after the full moon - on those nights, let the moonlight shine in your window, or if that's not possible have a small light on in your room. I've stopped taking them for now as I want to see what happens when my body flies solo for a bit...I hope they do the trick for you!
Love,
Maddy

I've done a lot of things TTC that I don't really believe in, but I figure it won't hurt so why not? There's no harm in an open mind.

Sounds plausible to me - hope it works!

It's funny that you're blogging about this now. This week my ND suggested to me that my body may be trying to regulate itself back to the moon cycles. I ovulated really early last cycle (on the night of the blue moon) and I had a 16 day LP. But today is CD1 and it's the new moon. Perhaps he is right.

Thanks everyone! How silly of me to forget "Team Carlilse" btw!

Fran: I was referring to the Twilight series of books by Stefanie Meyer. Not sure if they're causing as much of a buzz in Ireland?

Busted Kate: TCM = Traditional Chinese Medicine! :)
