Internetz, brace yourselves for the miracle of the century! Okay, no, not the century, but how about the week? The day?
On CD-35 I saw my lovely ND for acupuncture. My period was still not present and accounted for (no surprise, thanks PCOS!). Some of you will remember that last month my period did not arrive until CD-42 and I chalked it up to the acupuncture and the addition of some extra needles on the "blood points."
For this session, the ND added the blood points again and swirled them around a couple of times (this was not as uncomfortable this time - but it's still a weird feeling!).
To be honest, I didn't expect much of anything to happen. I figured I'd be hanging out to CD-40+ again.
But on CD-36, it happened. Spotting. Very light and intermittent, but it was there. Could it be I thought? No....
Then, CD-37 rolled around and hello crimson tide! Been riding the crimson wave ever since.
Other than my usual Metformin and supply of supplements and herbs, I haven't added anything else to the mix that could have made this happen.
Is it the acupuncture? Well I guess I can't say for sure - but let me tell you that my ND earned every penny (and there were a lot of pennies!) that I've thrown her way this month.
Internetz, I am an acupuncture believer.
